Back then, the whole earth used the same language and the same words. The record of the scattering of the nations has almost the same level of importance as the Great Flood. This is a very important event; the flood was worldwide in its impact and this event is worldwide in its impact too. People in the day of Nimrod; remember, Nimrod, he started Babel, he started the city, he started the tower. Tradition says a lot of things about him, none of them very good by the way. People in the day of Nimrod willfully left the Torah of God(Elohim) to worship the creation. This led to pantheism; what is pantheism? It’s paganism. Specifically, it’s worshipping creation. It led to this this babble where pantheism starts, were polytheism started, it’s where idolatry started. It appears that all cultures from all over the world have some very peculiar things in common. If all cultures have peculiar things in common, it would seem logical that we could trace those things back to the Tower of Babel. We talked about how many cultures in the world have a flood account in their history, there’s some 250 or more that have that, and virtually all cultures have the same seven-day workweek that God(Elohim) instituted at creation. Virtually all cultures from around the world have named that seven-day week after five planets and the Sun and the moon. SUN-day, that’s the day of the Sun, then MOON-day, the second day of the week, TUISCO, Tuesday (Tuisco is the Anglo-Saxon term for Mars, WODEN’s-day (Woden is the word for Mercury), THOR’s-day (Thor is the name for Jupiter, FRIGA-day (Friga is the same as Venus), and last but not least, SATURN-day, which is named after Saturn. In pagan cultures, the most important day of the week is, guess, SUN-day. Almost all of them universally declared the most sacred of all days. Take a look here for instance the Babylonians, Bel the sun-god, whose proper name was Marduk, was the patrol god of the Babylonians. To him they dedicated the first day of the week. Their calendar was adjusted in such a way that the first day of every month was also the first day of the week. “It is clear that the first day of every month was originally a day of rest and fasting.” –Langdon, Babylonian Menlogies and Semitic Calendars, p. 6 It’s through this Babylonian tradition that; have you ever heard of the lunar Sabbath? People go off in so many different directions today, the lunar Sabbath came from Babylon, and that meant you start the week at the first day of the month every year. Now that makes it tough to schedule your workday your work week but that’s what they do, and they have the Sabbath on different days of the week. It’s not constant, it’s not consistent, depends on what month it is.
The Egyptians
In ancient Egypt the sun-cult originated at Heliopolis. The early sun-god of the ancient Egyptians was Re, and later Osiris, who came to be also the god of the dead and of the Resurrection. “Sunday (day of the sun) as the name of the first day of the week is derived from Egyptian astrology.” that comes from the –Catholic Encyclopedia, Art. Sunday. I found the Catholic Encyclopedia and other Catholic sources of information, they don’t care about telling on themselves, they don’t care. They’re kind of bragging, all these people came to us, all we did was say, “yeah, you’re right, we’ll do it too,” and change few names and we’re there.
Medo-Persian
“Each day of the week, the planet to which the day was sacred was invoked in a fixed spot in the crypt; and Sunday, over which the sun presided, was especially holy.” –Cumont, The mysteries of Mithra, p. 167.
Indians
Among the Hindus, every Sunday was a holy day. One author writes: “The different days enjoy degrees of veneration according to certain qualities which [the Hindus] attribute to [the days of the week]. They distinguish, for example, the Sunday, because it is the day of the sun and the beginning of the week.” –Albiruni’s India, II, p. 185.
Koreans
“Buddha is reported to have been of solar descent, as were the Incas of Peru and are the present royal house of Japan (whose ancestress is stated to have been the sun-goddess Amaterasu.” –E. Royston Pike, Encyclopedia of Religion, Art. Sun Worship. I didn’t know there was such a thing.
Germans
“The most ancient Germans being pagans, and having appropriated their first day of the week to the peculiar adoration to the sun, whereof, that day does yet in our English tongue retain the name of Sunday.” –Verstegen, Antiquities, p. 10.
Greeks
“At Sparta on the first day of every month the king made a sacrificial offering to Apollyon [or Apollo], the sun-god, and the same practice was carried on at Athens.” –Cook, Zeus, II, p. 237.
Romans
“The first day of the week was the Mithraic Sunday before it was the Christian, and December 25th was Mithras birthday.” –E. Royston Pike, Encyclopedia of Religion, Art. Mithraism. Mithras naturally the sun-god.
Mithraism and Christianity
“The popular worship of Mithra [the “invincible Sun-god”] became so pre-eminent in the Roman Empire in the days of Constantine, that he decreed “The Venerable Day of the Sun” to be the weekly rest day of the Empire. One authority points out the influence of Mithraism on Christianity, saying: “It [Mithraism] had so much acceptance that it was able to impose on the Christian world its own Sun-day in place of the Sabbath, its Sun’s birthday, 25th December, as the birthday of Jesus.” –G. Murray, Christianity in the Light of Modern Knowledge, pp. 73, 74.
Still another author says: “The early Christians had at first adopted the Jewish seven-day week, (which is fascinating, which we already knew that for the first couple centuries they were all doing the Sabbath day and all of Torah) with its numbered weekdays, but by the close of the 3rd century A.D. this began to give way to the planetary week; and in the fourth and fifth centuries the pagan designations became generally accepted in the western half of Christendom. … During these same centuries the spread of Oriental solar worships, especially that of Mithra, in the Roman world, had already led to the substitution by the pagans of dies Solis (Sun-day) for Saturni (Saturday), as the first day of the planetary week… Thus gradually a pagan institution was and engrafted on Christianity.” –Hutton Webster, Rest Days, pp. 220, 221.
Don’t you find it intriguing that almost all the cultures in the world have a seven-day week. How could you come up with that, it’s not based on anything planetary, solar or lunar. Would you have picked the seven day week if you were picking? No I wouldn’t either, especially a work week. Two-day work week, there you go [laughter]. Why have seven days in a week, why not 10, why not 5? Doesn’t it make more sense? 10 or 5? It really does, but no, all the cultures in the world virtually all the cultures in the world have a seven-day workweek. If you think that is a coincidence, that’s ridiculous. In the farthest reaches in my mind, there is no way I would have imagined picking a seven-day workweek. Why seven? Because God(Elohim) instituted it in the creation. When people dispersed from that Tower of Babel, they took some things with them. Another thing too, the word Halleluiah, also spelled Alleluia, is a liturgical expression, usually rendered in English as “praise the Lord.” Alleluia in Hebrew, means praise Yah, in just about every language, every language, it’s pretty much the same word. There are indications that Nimrod set up a military dictatorship as well as set up a priestly system of worship for himself, being the central figure of this worship. Ancient traditions also indicate that Nimrod’s wife who just by chance happen to also be his mother, was also a part of this worship. Her name was Semiramis by the way, and she was a part of this active leadership to go against God(Elohim). This pagan worship is another item that’s shared by all cultures, not only was this original Babylonian religious system the source of all the world’s non scriptural religions, but it also infiltrated and infected Christianity through the paganism and idolatry that they use now, that they do. The Roman Church in order to accommodate other pagan religions and be this one world church for everybody, adopted a lot of the Babylonian pagan deities.
Revelation 17:3-5
And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness; and I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns. 4And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality, 5and upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
Some religions worship Semiramis as the queen of heaven that was probably a corruption of the account of the seed of the woman from Genesis 3. The church in its zeal to appeal to all these people, they said you’re right about the Queen of Heaven, but you got her name wrong, it’s not Semiramis, it’s Mary. So other so-called Saints were adopted by the Roman Church and originally worshiped by the Roman Church in a very similar manner. Unfortunately, these facts are all rooted in the history of the Roman Church and like I said you can read it in a Catholic Encyclopedia, it’ll tell you all about it. They don’t mind telling on themselves they think they’re right in doing what they did. The church has corrupted the message in God’s(Elohim’s) word with idolatry and paganism and it’s this idolatry and paganism that has its roots in ancient Babel and Babylon. God(Elohim) is apparently referring to the eastern Roman Empire here in Revelation 17 in particular, the eastern Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire was run by the church, by the eastern Roman Church. They are called “BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS, here, and He goes on in Rev 17-18 that talks about this Byzantine Empire, and He goes on to say, get out of this.
Rev 18:1-4
After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined with his glory. 2And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! And she has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird. 3“For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality.” 4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, that you may not participate in her sins and that you may not receive of her plagues;
That’s the warning that was given.
Gen 11:2
And it came about as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.
The whole world had one language at this time, the language spoken was probably a Semitic language and maybe even Hebrew. It’s doubtful that Shem took place in the city of Babel and probably kept his speech. Another issue that points to the Hebrew language are the names of the people and places recorded before Babel, they all have meaning in Hebrew, so, it’s likely that Hebrew was the first language that was spoken.
Exo 10:22
So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days.
We don’t know the cause of this darkness in Egypt, but this is an attack on Re the sun god.
Re was an old solar-god from Heliopolis and a major deity over all of Egypt. He was traveling over the sky in his boat every day with his life-giving sun disc. That’s a carving of him from Egypt you see the sunray and the Sun disk on his head.
He stood for life, rebirth, children, health, virility, etc, and the myths about him were several. His cult was pushed forward toward the fifth dynasty when the Pharaohs took the title – son of Re, and this should last to the very end of Egyptian history. During the New Kingdom he was combined with Ammon-Re and Horus as Re-Horakhte. He was known as a falcon-headed man with a sun disc upon his head. In later times he got a wife – Ret, and she looked just like Hathor. Hathor is also depicted with a disc on her head. It’s obvious from the depiction of Re and Hathor that Sun worship was still prevalent in the depictions of early Christian art and worship practice too. I don’t know if you have ever noticed this, for instance, how many of you all have been to a Catholic Church? This picture right here, have you ever seen this? You never heard of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and you see Sacred Heart, schools and churches.
Ancient pagan civilizations like those of Mexico would cut out the heart of a living victim and offer it as a sacrifice to the sun and that’s what this is depicting here. See the Sun coming out of the Sacred Heart, there see all this stuff came from paganism, I mean bad paganism, bad stuff, it’s alarming and you think it’s so innocent when you look at some of it. There’s your Sun Goddess Mary and that’s the depiction of the Sun around her head.
Now a pagan Canaanite cultic pillar from the city of Hazor, showing hands raised to the sun disc, portrayed within the crescent moon.
Priests do this, they hold up that wafer, the god cookie thing, and he will have a chant that he’ll say, through him with him in him something to the glory of Christ and then there’ll be a little altar boy down there and he’ll ring a bell and what happened was is the used to be plain old cookie turns into a god cookie and it turns into the flesh of Jesus when a little bells ring. That’s very important for them as you can see it’s venerated like the Sun God like the ancients did the Sun God. As we all know, Catholics come in, walk down the aisle and before they go into their seat they’ll kneel and bow. Why do they do that? Last week’s god cookie didn’t all get eaten, so there is a little urn back there and the body of Jesus is there, they’re bowing down to it. The wine in Catholic Eucharist or communion is optional, everyone just needs the host. As long as everybody gets a host in their mouth then they’re good, you have par taken of the body of Christ, but the blood of Christ, now if not many people drink it, the priests drink it all [Laughter] so I think they kind of hold back on that, it touched your lips, that’s good enough. [laughter]. This is the general sunburst pattern used to symbolize the host and when I say the host, I mean the magic cookie they would be holding up. This is the general sunburst pattern used to symbolize the host in Catholicism, the supposed “true body” of Christ. This design has been adopted by the Jesuits as their symbol. Now IHS was very very very interesting why would you put IHS on there? It’s thought by some to represent the first letters of each word in the Greek name Iesus Hominum Salvator (Jesus Savior of men), okay, really, I mean, they had to think of a phrase that IHS fits right, and that’s what they came up with. Although according to Catholics themselves they actually represent the first three letters of the name Jesus in Greek. The pagan though, would quickly see the pagan trinity of Egypt; Isis, Horus, and Seb. In Egyptian mythology Seb (Geb) was the father of the goddess Isis (Aset), the mother and protectress of her divine son Horus (Harpocrates).
That’s what that is: Isis Horus and Seab and it all goes together with the Sun worship. That’s called the monstrance is actually what that is, what the Pope is hiding behind there.
It’s keeping the devil away, by the way, it’s how he does it. See I don’t know if you’re familiar with a lot of the Catholic art but you know that’s Christ a king and he’s the Sun God, see he’s got the Sun behind his head, just like the Sun discs of the ancient Egyptian gods there’s no difference.
You see the Sun worship was big because shortly after well the time of the disciples and thereafter the in the several hundred years later, Mithraism was very popular. Mithraism and Christianity were essentially competing, Mithraism is Sun God worship. It was a Persian belief but by the time the Romans got ahold of it they mixed Christianity in with it and came up with their own type of Mithraism. It resembled Christianity because well the birthday and Christianity ended up representing and resembling Mithraism. When’s the birth of the Sun God? December 25th, that’s Mithras birthday. Well the Christians adopted that, shortest day of the year, or it’s close to the shortest day of the year and it’s at the time of the rebirth of the Sun God. Christianity adopts this to bring in the Mithra believers and other Sun worshipers and you know, you just have to change the names around. You see these somewhat innocuous white guy Jesus with long hair and blue eyes with the Sun behind his head and that’s just common us you know we’re getting into Protestant type art too. They do the same thing, so you got smiling Jesus with his blue eyes and the Sun behind his head. This the Sun God stuff is pretty powerful.
Constantine was definitely a big orchestrator of Sun-day worship.
In the book of John, they refer to the first day of the feast of unleavened bread as a high Sabbath, it’s a peculiar Sabbath, it’s one that’s not ordinary. That’s why they had to get Him down off the stake on a Thursday night because Friday starts as soon as the sun goes down. That’s the feast of unleavened bread, first day of the feast of unleavened bread, they have no work so He’s in the grave for that special day of no work, He’s in the grave for that Sabbath day. After the Sabbath is over the resting is over, it’s done. He was there three days and three nights Thursday, Thursday night, not completely but close, Friday, Friday night, Saturday, Saturday night, resurrected after Saturday night. They said He would raise on the third day, well, He was killed Thursday at 3:00, Friday at 3:00 would be 24 hours, Saturday at 3:00 would be 48 hours and before Sunday at 3:00 which is the third day would have been 72 hours. So, it fits very well with everything we know in Scripture.
God(Elohim) would not allow sacrifices to be made just anywhere, it had to be made only at the door of the tabernacle, later, only in the temple. One reason for this was to keep the people from idolatry. Israel was prone to idolatry, that’s a primary reason they were taken into captivity in Babylon, another reason the sacrifices had to be made at the door of the tabernacle is to show that you have to come to Elohim on His terms, not on yours, we don’t make the terms when we come to the Father. Mankind tends to think we can dictate to God(Elohim) how to run things. The fact is, our wonderful little deeds that we do, Scripture says they’re as filthy rags to God(Elohim) if we don’t do them His way. Christianity is and I’ve said it for years, it’s not a religion based upon this book, it’s based upon creeds, and I can prove it’s not a religion based upon the Bible. Show me anywhere in this book that talks about Christmas, Easter, and Sunday worship, it’s not here. What is the basis for the foundation of Christianity? Christmas, Easter, and Sunday worship, is it not? It’s not based on the Bible, none of those things are. Many people think the righteousness of God(Elohim) is the same as the righteousness of man, but it’s on a higher plane, nothing can be further from the truth. God(Elohim) can only accept His righteousness, which only comes through the graciousness of the Father, when He gives us faithfulness in Jesus(Yeshua Messiah) and in following His word, that’s the only acceptable righteousness to the Father, that’s it. How do we learn what that is? That’s through studying His Torah, very important if we want a relationship with the Father.
Deut 4:19
“And beware, lest you lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.
We are not to worship the sun, moon and stars. A lot of churches are modeled after that. Why do they meet on Sunday? Where did steeples come from? They have that spire that points up why is that? Draw me a picture very simple sun rays coming down yeah, a lot of people would say oh that’s not true there’s some evidence that it is very true. Constantine was a sun worshiper and he’s the one that paid for all those early churches to be built in order to win their affections. What do you think a halo is? It’s that sun behind Jesus’s head and they’ll put the sun behind Mary’s head too sometimes. You’ll notice that their art, well protestant art has some of that too it’s not as blatant. Protestants have a blue-eyed blond-haired smiling Jesus.
Deuteronomy 12:28-31
“Be careful to listen to all these words which I command you, in order that it may be well with you and your sons after you forever, for you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God. 29“When the LORD your God cuts off before you the nations which you are going in to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, 30beware that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How do these nations serve their gods, that I also may do likewise?’ 31“You shall not behave thus toward the LORD your God, for every abominable act which the LORD hates they have done for their gods; for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.
Do not follow false gods and do not worship God(Elohim) in the manner that they worship their false gods, and that is the foundation of Christianity. How false gods are worshiped is the basis for Christianity. Everything they do is based upon that, everything. Can you think of something that isn’t? They have Christmas which everything is based upon Thor and Oden, Saturnalia the worst things in the world, child sacrifice, you have Ishtar, Easter, that’s based upon the fertility goddess all kinds of immorality is involved in that, of course rabbits, eggs, that’s why they’re used. Sunday worship, why do you think it’s Sunday? Why do you think they meet on Sunday? They’ll say Jesus rose, resurrected on Sunday, no He didn’t, He was erected on Saturday night ok, but they still do the Sun God day morning service. Basically, they say, well we don’t know for sure if He resurrected on Saturday night or Sunday, we don’t know for sure but let’s base the very foundation of everything that we do, and believe, it on meeting time and meeting place.
That’s so strong, He’s saying, if you participate in these things, I see you killing your children. I see you sacrificing your children and offering them up to false gods, that’s what I see.
Deut 13:17
“And nothing from that which is put under the ban shall cling to your hand, in order that the LORD may turn from His burning anger and show mercy to you, and have compassion on you and make you increase, just as He has sworn to your fathers,
He says none of these things shall remain in your hand, were are to avoid any resemblance of false gods in our lives God(Elohim) He makes painfully clear in His word. Well welcome back to Christianity hate to beat an old dead Christian horse, but, this Easter Christmas Sunday worship, they all came from the origins of Sun worship in Babel and from Nimrod. These practices of Sun worship were warned about several times in Scripture
Deuteronomy 4:19
“And beware, lest you lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.
2 Kings 23:4
Then the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest and the priests of the second order and the doorkeepers, to bring out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, for Asherah, and for all the host of heaven; and he burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel.
2 Kings 23:11
And he did away with the horses which the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entrance of the house of the LORD, by the chamber of Nathan-melech the official, which was in the precincts; and he burned the chariots of the sun with fire.
Sun worship crept into Christianity in the fourth century AD. The first Sunday law was enacted by Emperor Constantine in March of 321 AD.
Constantine decreed (March 7, 321)[h] dies solis – the day of the Sun, “Sunday” – as the Roman day of rest
On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country however persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits because it often happens that another day is not suitable for grain-sowing or vine planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.
It’s very sad but it’s still followed to this day. What is Sunday or the Lord’s Day in general? I’ll tell you where this comes from, a day dedicated to the Apostles to the honor of the Most Holy Trinity and in memory that Christ our Lord arose from the dead upon Sunday sent down the Holy Ghost on Sunday and therefore is called the Lord’s Day it’s also called Sunday because of the old Roman denomination of Dies Solis is a day of the Sun to which it was sacred. That came from the Catechism, the Douay catechism. That’s a little Catholic book that tells you how to be a good Catholic.
